About Swift Taylor
February 7th, in Tokyo, marked the official start of Taylor Swift’s Era 2 Tour. If you’re in Japan, that means the tour officially began tonight. She didn’t waste any time in sharing some information about her new album/era, The Torchard. The department of poets.
Swift revealed her eleventh album (April 19) after taking home the Best Pop Vocal Album Grammy last Sunday. However, as she had previously stated in Tokyo, she had a backup plan in case she didn’t receive any recognition. “This was my plan, going to the Grammys, coming home from the Grammys,” she remarked, adding that she had only told a select few people about it, one of them being producer Jack Antonoff. But to be honest, I hadn’t really told anyone. I decided to go for it in the event that I was fortunate enough to win anything tonight. I just wanted to let you know about my new record.”
Swift started disclosing information on The Torchard Poets Department, revealing that she began working on it right away after finishing Midnight’s, which would have meant that the album wouldn’t have been released for several months.
“I’ve been working on this for about two years,” she stated. I worked on it the whole time I was in America, and I finished it when it was perfect in my opinion and suitable for you. We’ll experience it together soon, and I can’t wait for you to hear it.” Swift quickly released album art and a tracklist after revealing The Torchard Poets Department at the Grammy Awards. The 17-track album features some collaborations, including tracks from Florence + the Machine and Post Malone.
